Executive Committee: Kathryn Forbord, Shane Johnson, Traven Medawar, Sean Casey, and Bethany Bertram

The Executive Committee consists of the President, First and Second Vice President and Secretary/Treasurer. The Executive Committee addresses issues that arise within the daily operations of the MSBOA and ensures that the board follows its Mission Statement and Strategic Plan. The committee works with contracted staff and oversees the other committee's functions.

Legislative Committee: Garrett Regan*, Bethany Bertram, Shane Johnson, Traven Medawar, Mike Aksamit, and Kathryn Forbord

The Legislative Committee works closely with MSBOA's staff and lobbyist to inform members of legislative interests in the industry. Members of this committee must be available to testify if needed. The committee also reviews proposed laws and rules, taking timely action to support or oppose issues that affect the organization and is responsible for producing a legislative agenda by December 1 of each year. It also meets with the Minnesota Association for Pupil Transportation (MAPT) and other groups as needed for joint legislative meetings.

Membership and Promotions Committee: Rachel Hoglund Klein*, Bethany Bertram, Emmee Grisim-Lopez, Traven Medawar, Jason Anderson, Connie Grisim, and Rayme Bernick

The Membership Committee is responsible for member recruitment and retention, the coordination of member benefits, the implementation of recognition programs, the development of promotional materials and the exploration of additional revenue sources. The committee chair should set specific, quantitative goals and deadlines for new enrollments on an annual basis. The committee may enlist outside sources and providers to create endorsed and affinity programs. It also examines the newsletter and website on an annual basis for possible updates and to keep the information fresh and pertinent.

Conference and Awards Committee: Rayme Bernick*, Connie Grisim, Kathryn Forbord, Eric Burrill, Bethany Bertram, Katie Gaida, Mike Kubesh, and Emmee Grisim-Lopez

The Conference and Awards Committee is responsible for assisting the executive office in planning meetings and setting conference agendas. Members of this committee must be available to travel to scout out potential locations for MSBOA events. The committee is also responsible for the Safety Raffle, Transportation Specialist Awards, Jim DeVeau and Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Industry Relations Committee: Eric Burrill, Shane Johnson, Mike Aksamit, and Brian Reu*

Industry Relations meets with the goal of better communications with other industry groups and stakeholders. 

Joe Beaton Scholarship Committee: Julie Bernick, Judy Koch, and Rachel Hoglund Klein

The Joe Beaton Scholarship Committee makes the selection of the Joe Beaton Scholarship Award on an annual basis.
